Speech Pathology

Speech Pathologists are communication specialists. They are qualified professionals who work with individuals to diagnose and treat communication disorders and differences including those of speech, language, voice and fluency. Many also have expertise in the management of social-communication skills, listening skills, body language and the development of communication confidence in a variety of settings.

Individual assessment and therapy focuses on assessment and self awareness, teaching new skills and then learning by doing in structured sessions and ultimately real life situations.

Whether you have a communication disorder or not, improving your vocal image and overall communication skills provides you with the opportunity to achieve professional and personal growth and success.

At Presence we work with you on any number of the following communication building blocks:

  • Pronunciation/Clarity of Speech (including accent modification)
  • Voice Quality
  • Voice Projection
  • Volume Control
  • Fluency
  • Tone of Voice
  • Rate of Speech
  • Body Language
  • Social Communication Skills
  • Communication Etiquette
  • Listening Skills
  • Interview Skills
  • Confidence
  • Presentation Skills

Sessions may follow the traditional Speech Pathology model of skill based therapy and training or a combination of therapeutic techniques and Communication Coaching. Either way, it is all about working on the goals you want to achieve.

We can meet with you at your place of work or study or at our office in East Malvern.
